About the artist
A brief history:
Having achieved a degree in fine art in Canada in 1978 Murray Hubick has gone on to enjoy a successful career in the varied disciplines of painting, drawing and portraiture in the full variety of mediums and advanced mural / trompe d’oeil technique. He has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions and has works in the collections of the Morgan Bank- Canada, the Swiss Bank, CKOC Radio- Canada, Mr. J. Ward ( Director, Sea Links Ferries, Dover U. K. ) to name but a few.
Since coming to the U. K. ten years ago Murray has exhibited in galleries throughout England and on the continent as well as being involved with numerous commissioned works of trompe d’oeil murals and portraiture. His treatment of a complete cinema house in Lincolnshire has been highlighted on ITV’s Country Calendar and in Country Life Magazine, a national U. K. periodical.
And that’s the cut down press version. More recently, over the past five years, I have worked almost exclusively in my studio here in Tunbridge Wells which, for those of you who might not be familiar with the geography of England is in a very beautiful part of the county of kent and about fifty miles south of the city of London.
